Dallow is a fully inclusive school and we actively seek to remove the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual pupils, or groups of pupils. This means that equality of opportunity must be a reality for our children.
We make this happen through the attention we pay to the different groups of children within our school and through our commitment to working with the parents and carers of our children.
All children are given every opportunity to participate in all aspects of school life and are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular clubs, residential trips and all sporting activities.
We make every effort to identify and respond to the specific special needs of every young person. This may be achieved through individual, group or class teaching. When it is felt that outside agencies can offer help in any particular area, full advantage is taken of their services. Such arrangements and provisions are made in full consultation with parents.
Your child’s Class Teacher is the key person responsible for their care and support in school but there are a range of other staff who can also offer support; our Family Workers, the Inclusion Manger and her Team and the Phase Assistant Headteacher. They are always happy to speak to you as parents about any concerns you may have.
